Master of Law in Human Rights

The Master of Laws in Human Rights is offered by the Faculty of Law as a response to the increasing interest in and relevance of human rights standards in Asia and elsewhere. The programme focuses on problems and perspectives which are of particular concern to the Asia-Pacific region, while at the same time ensuring that participants engage with universal human rights issues and the perspectives of other regional systems.

The course is designed in particular for lawyers and other human rights advocates who wish to pursue advanced studies in international human rights law, but may need to do so alongside work responsibilities. A central objective of the course is to ensure that you not only know but can also use human rights law. The curriculum places roughly equal emphasis on the substance of human rights law, its implementation and research.
