The Master of Health Sciences is a post-professional degree designed to prepare professionals for emerging leadership roles in the rapidly changing healthcare landscape and to enhance employ ability for advancement in clinical, educational and administrative areas. Emphasis is placed on independent, self-directed and faculty-guided learning. This programme is intended for practicing healthcare professionals or those with an undergraduate degree in a health-related discipline with plans of pursuing a career in the health services. 

This programme focuses on research (dissertation and viva) as a major requirement for attaining the degree. Through research work, learners will gain an in-depth understanding of their research topic and generate new insights. Learners will be able to hone their time management and problem-solving skills throughout their research period. They will contribute to the understanding of current healthcare issues and technological advancement in sciences through research findings at seminars and conferences. Throughout the candidature, a qualified and experienced supervisory panel will help guide the learners in developing a strong sense of ethics and professionalism for the profession.
